our story

Most of us spend ten hours a day staring at glowing screens.

Endless emails, bottomless task lists, fingers numbly swiping from one app to the next. Honestly, that cycle is exhausting. It leaves us drained and constantly on edge.

On those afternoons when I hit a wall, I feel an overwhelming urge to step outside and disappear into the woods. To feel rough bark, smell the damp earth, and listen to the wind moving through the leaves. Nature has a quiet magic that instantly silences the noise in our heads.

But reality calls. We cannot exactly drag our office desks into the deep woods.

So, I decided to bring a piece of the forest to your keyboard. That is the exact reason Riyumyi was born.

I wanted to combine the warmth of solid wood with the precise motion of mechanical gears. When you feel overwhelmed, just turn the handle of the wooden photo box, or watch the wooden manta ray slowly glide through the air. In that moment, something entirely physical and grounded happens.

You will feel a slight, honest resistance at your fingertips. You will hear the deep click of wooden gears locking into place. When you first open the box, you might even catch the faint scent of fresh wood shavings. We absolutely refuse to sand our pieces down to the sterile perfection of industrial plastic. We deliberately keep the subtle flaws and the authentic texture of raw wood. That physical friction is there on purpose. It pulls you out of a smooth, suffocating digital void and forces you back into the real world to take a deep breath.

Nature never mass produces anything. Every single growth ring is a unique signature left behind by years of sunlight and rain. Every wooden drive shaft and every carved bird wing is stubbornly and slowly shaped on the workbench.

Once a piece reaches your hands, it begins to absorb the warmth of your touch over time. The wood will naturally deepen in color, eventually becoming a deeply personal sanctuary that moves to your exact rhythm.

Made slow. Just for you.
